Tim Zigler, Jared, Emir, Jaimal, and I all
surfed north jetty. Jai wasn't having
the best session. For a couple of hours he didnt get much. Then this
nugget came to him, he did a sick snap off the lip and then pulled into
a little cylinder. I think he was just a tiny bit off balance when he
pulled in and since the barrel was kinda small he did not have much
room to negotiate. When he fell off his board he lost place of it under
water. He had no leash on, witch might have made it worse for keeping
track of his board. when he came to the surface the board shot backwards,
popping out of the water like a possesed creature. The center fin nailed
him just above the left eyebrow, leaving a pretty deep gash. I was out
the back with ziggler when this happened. We saw Jared
and Emir checking
jaimal head but we were too far away to tell what was going on.
Tim said ,"I think I just saw blood
on his face!" Then Jaimal started
paddeling straight in. That was when my stomache dropped because I knew
he was hurt. I started heading for the beach and passed
emir who was on the back out. He said ,"Jaimal
needs to go get stitched up... it looks like someone with a metal finger
just poked him in the head...!" Most people would have got stitches
but jaimal's ok with a butterfly bandage!!
