Congrats to Derek Bockelman for winning the 7th stop of the Koastal Kaos Airshow series. The final was by far the most exciting 30 minutes the kaos has witnessed this year.
Each finalist was going for broke. Mchenry had two solid scores on the board before anyone. It didnt take long though for derek to find his comfort zone when he stuck a massive backside air 360. then a big straight frontside air. Mchenry was answering back until derek through down
Zach rineharts signiture move: the super-v! then eric tried a super-v of his own and could'nt quite pull it. With the crowd going nuts, derek did another big backside air 3 somehow pulling it off! not as high as the first one but I thought it was more critical and on
a bigger wave! not to be forgotten about, Josh Buran and Pete Mussio were also throughing down some sick airs that would have most likly won any other airshow. During the last minute or so Mussio busted a super sick lightning fast backside air 3 but it wasnt enough
to take the bread from eric and event winner,Derek Bockelman.
