January 25th 2007 - This trip originally planned with JP Grady and Vince Alessi just going somewhere to relax and catch some warm water waves. Some where along the line James Lovett was invited and since Straight Out Productions is putting together a DVD with SRH clothing we figured it would be a good time to film James. The trip was not without trouble, Vince was having passport problems and could not make the original flight that he booked for everyone.JP waited behind with Vince in hopes that the passport would show up in the mail.Vince was beyond cool for

driving everyone to the airport, knowing all along that they were going to score waves that he forcasted. So while driving us to the airport in traffic and with all the talk of waves we missed the exit so we had to turn around and go back. We got dropped off at the Otay Mesa boarder crossing and then walked accross. We were on the plane and in the air by 11:00 am PST. Once we arrived in Mainland we found a taxi to the coastline and were able to see the surf before the sun went down. The following morning we awoke to spitting barrels with no one out in the water. While having java and watching the waves trying to decide where was best to go outwe saw so many waves spit it was hard to decide where was best. We did three sessions the first day and scored some good clips. On Friday night when Vince and JP showed up and we had already secured rooms and figured out how to get more beer after the mercado closed. We stayed at Paco's Hotel and got the best treatement and food ever. CLICK HERE FOR MORE PHOTOS AND STORY
